Message from the Worshipful Master
Hello My Dear Brothers,
I hope this finds you and yours safe and well. As I write this, vaccine distribution has been progressing at a heightened pace and many of the Craft’s members have or soon will be able to receive their shot (s). This hopefully means that we will be able to visit with family and each other again in the not-too-distant future. Please remember that should you find yourself in or approaching financial hardship that your Brothers are here to support you. Our Grand Lodge has a fund in place to assist you. All you need do is ask and your request will be treated with the utmost care and confidence.
On top of everything else since our last meeting, we have had a challenging few months. Three of our members were called to the Celestial Lodge above and went to be with our Great Architect. On 2 February, Wayne L Moreland, PM, on 1 April, Weldon J. (Jack) Campbell, Jr., PM and on 11 April, Stewart W. “Woody” Bently, Jr., PM. These Brothers will be sorely missed. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.
Continuing our theme, “Industrious Learning”, we will receive three papers on Saturday 29 May at 10am. Timothy A. Dahlman, PM will present his paper entitled “Possible Origins of An Obscure Masonic Charge”, Roger W. Peak, PM will present his paper entitled “Freemasons Who Signed the Major Founding Documents” and Farley W. Warner Jr., PM will present his paper entitled, “Revolutionary Brotherhood”. We will meet virtually, open and not tiled with no ritual being used, via the Zoom platform on your computer or mobile device at 10am. Using this medium will allow you to view the presentations live. You may choose to call in but please recognize that you will not be able to view anything this way. If you have any questions about using the technology or would like some assistance with connecting, please reach out to me prior to Saturday and I would be happy to help.
As a Research Lodge, we have been fortunate that our members and friends yearn in earnest for more light and have been willing to share their respective journeys. It is my ardent hope that their offerings will inspire others to do the same.
Sincerely and fraternally yours in friendship and service,
Raymon W. Bacchus
