Message from the Worshipful Master
My Dear Brethren,
I hope this finds you and yours safe and well and looking forward to a wonderful holiday season. As I write this, my last Trestleboard while serving as your Worshipful Master, I reflect with great affection and appreciation on the confidence you reposed in me and the support you and the leadership team have provided to better our Lodge. I am extremely grateful for each of you and am proud of what we have been able to accomplish together over these last two years. The support our Lodge received from our District Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Marc A. Hone, a member of our Lodge, was stellar and we are indebted to him for his service. I would be remiss to not acknowledge that I could not have served you to the best of my ability without the love and support of my family. We rounded out the year by having the honor of a member of our Lodge becoming Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. Congratulations Most Worshipful James Winfield Golladay, Jr., we are here to support you as you work to better our gentle Craft.
We are seeing new variants being identified as we continue the fight to overcome the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please continue to keep safety as a priority and lift humanity up in your devotions to the Great Architect. Should you find yourself in or approaching financial hardship, know that your Brothers are here to support you. Our Grand Lodge has a fund in place to assist you. All you need do is ask and your request will be treated with the utmost care and confidence.
Our next stated meeting, which is our annual meeting, is scheduled for 18 December 2021 at 10:00 am. It will be an in person only meeting. We will be holding elections and installing the officers as well as making some award presentations. Our Junior Warden and Stewards are coordinating breakfast and lunch. I look forward to seeing you all again!
As a Research Lodge, we have been fortunate that our members and friends yearn in earnest for more light and have been willing to share their respective journeys. It is my ardent hope that their offerings will inspire others to do the same.
Sincerely and fraternally yours in friendship and service,
Raymon W. Bacchus
